Automatically uploading photos in the camera to RICOH360 Cloud (*supported models: X, Z1)
For instructions on how to set up automatic uploads for THETA X and Z1, please refer to the page for connecting each model.
If the following conditions are met, the photos in the THETA will be uploaded to the RICOH360 Cloud without having to go through the RICOH360 App on your smartphone.
- Within range of the wireless LAN router's signal set up for client mode connection;
- Turn on the power of the THETA main unit.
- Set the wireless mode of the THETA main unit to client mode.
In addition, when you have finished setting up automatic uploads after shooting, the default setting for “Automatic upload after shooting (a function that automatically changes the THETA's wireless mode from access point mode to client mode)” is ON. Therefore, if you use the RICOH360 App to take remote photos of the THETA within range of the wireless LAN router set for client mode connection, and then exit shooting mode, the uploading of photos to the RICOH360 Cloud will begin immediately.
If Automatic Upload after shooting is turned off, the THETA's wireless mode will remain in access point mode even after the RICOH360 App exits shooting mode, and the THETA will not upload images to the RICOH360 Cloud until the THETA's wireless mode is switched to client mode. Therefore, until the wireless mode of the THETA unit is switched to client mode, the uploading of photos from the THETA unit to the RICOH360 Cloud will not be performed.
If the Automatic Upload after shooting function is turned off, transfer the photos from the THETA to the device (app) and then follow the procedure described above for Uploading photos on a device (App) to the RICOH360 Cloud.
The procedure to turn on/off the Automatic Upload after shooting function is as follows.

- Tap
- Select THETA X or THETA Z1 from the list of registered cameras.
- Tap Auto Upload under "Cloud Sync Configuration".
