Viewing photos stored in THETA

You can view the photos stored on THETA with the RICOH360 App.

By connecting the THETA to a smartphone over a wireless LAN, a list of thumbnails of the photos recorded in the THETA can be displayed on the RICOH360 App. By selecting the photos you wish to view, the images are transferred to the app and can be viewed on the app even when there is no wireless LAN connection to the THETA.
*Please note that photos transferred to the app will be lost if you delete the app and cannot be restored.

  1. Open the RICOH360 App and log in.
  2. Tap hc_360app_mobile_icon_PhotosVideos_en.png at the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap THETA among THETA / Devices / Cloud at the top of the screen
  4. Tap Register
  5. Turn on the THETA device to register.
  6. Select the THETA model to register and connect to the wireless LAN
    Once the connection is established, a list of thumbnails of the photos in the THETA device will be displayed.
  7. Tap a thumbnail to download and transfer the photos to your device (smartphone)
    For photos downloaded to the device, hc_360app_mobile_icon_mobiletodevice.PNG will appear in the lower right corner of the thumbnail.

*Please note that the photos displayed on the device in the app will disappear and cannot be restored if the RICOH360 App is deleted.

  1. Open the RICOH360 App and log in.
  2. Tap hc_360app_mobile_icon_PhotosVideos_en.png at the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap DEVICE among THETA / DEVICE / CLOUD at the top of the screen
  4. Tap the thumbnail of the photos you want to view from the list of thumbnails stored on the device.

The above operation will switch to 360-degree view mode (the viewpoint can be changed by swiping the screen).

Zoom in/out, etc. can be done with each button under the viewer.

  • hc_360app_mobile_icon_autorotation.PNG: Auto Rotate (Tap to move the viewpoint to the right without swiping the screen)
  • hc_360app_mobile_icon_resetfirstview.PNG: Return to the initial viewpoint (the center of the lens on the side without the shutter release button on the THETA unit becomes the initial viewpoint of the photos).


Viewing photos stored in RICOH360 Cloud

*You can view images when your smartphone is connected to the Internet.

  1. Open the RICOH360 App and log in.
  2. Tap hc_360app_mobile_icon_PhotosVideos_en.png at the bottom of the screen
  3. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the Internet, and tap Cloud among THETA / Devices / Cloud at the top.
  4. Tap the thumbnail of the photos you want to view from the list of thumbnails stored in the cloud.

The above operation will switch to 360-degree view mode (the viewpoint can be changed by swiping the screen).

The buttons at the bottom of the viewer are the same as those used to view photos stored on the device (smartphone).
