Registering the THETA and the RICOH360 App via wireless LAN in order to use the smartphone version of RICOH360 to take remote shots of the THETA and view the Photos in the THETA on the smartphone version of RICOH360.

Registering the THETA with the smartphone version of RICOH360 App over a wireless LAN also allows users to Upload Images from the THETA to the RICOH360 Cloud and view the THETA's usage status on the RICOH360 Cloud.

◆Operation Procedure for Linking THETA to the Cloud

１．Registering THETA Z1 with your smartphone

1. Turn on the power of THETA Z1

2. Press and hold the wireless button on THETA Z1 (about 3 seconds) to turn on the Bluetooth® function.
   The will appear on the display panel.
3. Press the wireless button on the THETA Z1 to set the access point mode (Connect directly to the smartphone)
   will be animated on the display panel
4. Access RICOH360 App on your smartphone and Log in

5. Tap

6. Tap the Register button

7. Tap RICOH THETA Z1
   When "Pair your smartphone with RICOH THETA" appears, select the last 8 digits of the serial number of the camera you wish to register. If the serial number is not displayed, tap Enter the Serial Number to enter the number.
   

   

8. When "RICOH THETA has been discovered" is displayed, tap Next
   

   

   When the dialog box appears, tap Join and wait for a while.

   

9. When the following screen appears, registering the camera and smartphone is complete.

２．Registering THETA Z1 to the cloud

1. Tap Connect cameras to the cloud on the screen
   
   Wait for a moment, and when the screen below appears, registering the THETA Z1 with the cloud is complete.

    • After this, setting the "Automatic Upload" function will automate the THETA's Internet connection so that Upload Images can be uploaded to the cloud immediately after the remote shooting is complete. Photos uploaded to the cloud can be viewed on both the RICOH360 and the RICOH360 App. If you wish to continue setting up the automatic upload function, please refer to "Settings for automatic uploading" below.
    • If you wish to leave the Registering operation here and continue with the automatic upload settings after taking pictures or other operations, please follow the instructions here.

３．Settings for automatic uploading

1. Tap Configure automatic u... on the Display Settings screen.
   

   

2. Make sure you are at the location where the Wi-Fi router you wish to connect to is located and tap Next

3. When a dialog box appears confirming the network connection, tap Join

4. In order to Registering THETA and RICOH360 Cloud, make sure that the client mode connection is enabled

   Tap Next and select the SSID to connect to
   
   
   

5. Enter the password, tap Connect, and wait for a while

6. Tap Complete registration
   When “Auto Upload Settings completed. is displayed, Registering is complete.
   

   

◆Instructions for linking THETA Z1 to the cloud and setting up automatic uploads after completing the settings in 1. or 2. above and then leaving the camera to perform other operations

1. With the THETA Z1 turned off, tap
2. Select the THETA Z1 you wish to register to the cloud from the list of registered cameras
3. Tap Automatic Upload under Cloud Sync Configuration
4. Turn on the power of the THETA Z1
5. Press the wireless button on the THETA Z1 to set it to access point mode (Connect directly to the smartphone)
   will be animated on the display panel
6. To Registering Connecting THETA and RICOH360 Cloud, enable client mode connection.
   Tap Next and select the SSID to connect to.

   

7. From the list of Wi-Fi SSIDs displayed, select the Wi-Fi SSID you wish to connect to, enter the corresponding password, and tap Connect

   

8. Tap Complete registration
   

   When the message "Registration completed!" is displayed, Settings are complete.
