The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth power is turned Off
For cloud collaboration, both Wi-Fi (AP connection) and Bluetooth must be used for communication. If either one is turned off, turn both on by following the steps below.
- Wi-Fi: Press the wireless button on the camera (second button from the top on the right side).
- Bluetooth: Press and hold the wireless button on the camera (second button from the top on the right side)
If you cannot proceed from the "Could not connect to camera" screen even after tapping "Connect" on the "Please enter password" screen
The Bluetooth connection between the smartphone and THETA may not be established.
In this case, restart the THETA (Power Off→On). Restarting the THETA may enable the Bluetooth connection and allow you to proceed with the next steps.
When the "Failed to connect" screen appears even after tapping "Complete Setup
If the THETA Z1 v3.10.2 firmware is installed, the message "Failed to connect" may appear and the setup may not be completed even if "Complete Setup" is tapped.
This phenomenon is expected to be resolved in a future version update, but if you cannot update the firmware, you may be able to avoid this problem by following one of the procedures below.
Step 1: Wait for a while
The update may appear to have failed on the mobile app screen because the internal THETA processing was taking a long time.
In this case, keep the THETA Z1 connected to the CL network and wait for a few minutes, and a cloud icon will appear on the display panel. When the white cloud symbol appears, the linkage is considered successful and the THETA Z1 will begin communicating with the cloud.
Step 2: Restart THETA Z1 and register from the beginning again
If you restart the THETA Z1 and start the cloud integration procedure from the beginning again, it may be successful.
If it appears to have failed on the mobile app screen, communication and processing with the cloud has not been completed. It is unregistered on the cloud.
Therefore, you can proceed with the registration process again after restarting the application.
Step 3: Delete the video file
If video files are stored in the THETA Z1's storage, the communication process between THETA Z1 and the cloud may become unstable.
In this case, saving the video files to a PC or other device as a backup and then deleting them from the THETA Z1's storage may stabilize the communication status.
